Proudly presented by the New Jersey Bakers Board of Trade, the New York State Association of Manufacturing Retail Bakers and the Retail Bakers of America, the 2008 American Bakery Expo is sure to be a crowd pleaser. We're so excited about all the new opportunities the 2008 show has to offer, we can almost smell the fresh donuts, cookies and breads baking now!!

The 2008 show is packed full of action. We've put together a lineup of live competitions and demonstrations, an all new cake and bread extravaganza, an expanded education program with 6 hands-on sessions and a trade show floor packed with all the exhibitors you need. The schedule continues to grow and is sure to keep you busy for three days.

Watch the country's best bakers, pastry chefs and cake decorators compete LIVE for the coveted prizes of National Champion and Pillsbury Grand Champion. The 3rd National Bread & Pastry Team Championship is a 2-day, 14-hour team event with the nation's finest bakers and pastry chefs competing for a $50,000 prize. This year's theme is music. Each 2-person team must complete a bread showpiece, a pastry showpiece (incorporating sugar and chocolate), 2 different types of breads (baguette and bakers choice), an entremet, an entremet glace, and two viennoiserie out of the same dough. The RBA's Creative Decorating Competition is always a popular stop on the show floor. In this event top cake decorators from across the country compete live for the title of Pillsbury Grand Champion. You will see a wide variety of decorating styles and unique cakes that you will be able to take back to your shop and try yourself.

New for 2008, is the Cake & Bread Extravaganza. Cake decorators and bakers compete in four categories for gold, silver and bronze metals with cash prizes. Completed cakes and breads will be judged based on RBA certification standards and criteria by a team of expert judges. See who takes home the Best in Show prize for wedding cakes, novelty/specialty cakes, tiered cakes and decorative breads, and peruse the entries to get ideas you can use.

Our expanded Education Program is set and ready to go. We've packed three mornings full of seminar sessions on a handful of important topics. In the afternoons, on the show floor, see live demonstrations of techniques you can use to expand your product selection New this year, we've added 6 Hands-On sessions offering you the opportunity to learn in a classroom setting from these world renowned lineup of teachers:

These sessions are fee based with limited availability and are sure to sell-out quickly. Register early to reserve your spot.
